Review by hotel critic
Pension Am Rathaus offers a convenient and economical stay in the heart of Hamburg. The hotel's central location is unbeatable, with easy access to public transportation, dining options, and shopping venues. Despite the shared bathroom facilities, they were always available when needed, ensuring no inconvenience for guests. The room was clean, adequately spacious, and well-lit, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploration. The staff members were courteous and helpful, assisting with luggage up the stairs. Free Wi-Fi in rooms is a practical amenity, although the view from our room into a ventilation shaft was less than ideal. While the hotel lacks some luxury touches, like a flat-screen TV or a sitting area, its cleanliness and efficient service make up for it at an affordable price point. For travelers seeking a value-for-money accommodation in a prime location, Pension Am Rathaus serves as a practical choice in vibrant Hamburg.
